    Hi

I am presently contracting in Geneva, you are most likely to work through a Payroll Outfit, but all in all it almost works out the same for me compared to when I was in UK and using a Ltd outfit. You will be entitled to some benefits as an expatriate and depending if you have kids, their child allowance here in Geneva is 200fr per child per month.

One thing you need to know is what obtains in one Canton might be different from what obtains in the other Canton. Do a bit of homework on where you are actually going to.

    See if this site helps

    advice for contracting in Switzerland

    Hi,

I might be looking at some contract work in Switzerland; I know there is information on the CUK website about contracting/taxation in various European countries, but does anybody have real experience of working there and the tax implications thereof ??

Ideally, I'd like to know high level things to consider - for example it suggests that it's not as simple as just invoicing from your uk company to the agency etc. - anyway I'd appreciate it if anybody could give me an insight, in order to see whether it's worthwhile/worth the effort.

    Tks
