    Or if there are no transfer clauses in your contract then you can do what ever you want at the end of it (even though the agents will most likely whinge their titties off! ).

    Assuming of course you havent been coerced in to opting out that is!

    Usually a one-off fee, dependant on you staying there for a period, 6 months or a year.

    You've got your test the wrong way round.

    It's "if more than 8 weeks from the end of the placement or 14 weeks from the start".

    So, if you been working for the client for more that 14 weeks you can transfer free, Or if you been 'resting' for more than 8 weeks you can go back for free.

    If you have been working on a contract basis for less than 8 weeks then according to the employment agencies act then there shouldn't be a fee.

    It varies, but somewhere around the equivalent of 4 weeks worth of gross annual salary used to be the norm.
