Same client - new contract or extension to finish a project

Been working for a client for the last 20 months (already had a single extension), current contract terminates on the 15 Nov, I agreed with them that I'll stay on till the end of Jan 2020 to finish whatever work is left on the project I've been on since the beginning. Current schedule of work is tulipe and fairly generic, so my bad on that front, I'll get that modified on this extension. Main question I had is whether it matters from an IR 35 POV if future work is covered just with an extension + new SOW or would a new contract be needed?
