    Yes this is standard [Indian] Consultancy procedure. That's why I'm thinking it might not be Wipro - it might be the client themselves looking for a contractor to manage Wipro's team.

    I agree with all the negative views about Wipro. I wouldn't want to work for them in a perm role but on a contract basis I would go as far as possible to agree terms that I am happy with and only then take it on. Not that I'm jumping just yet - I have 3 months on my current contract with possible renewal so I'm just feeling things out.

    Call from Indian agency called Pyramid about a specialised IBM tech contract role. Obviously wouldn't give me any details but I have a strong suspicion it's for Wipro for Lloyds or TSB. Or it could be direct at one of these banks, assuming they need someone to watch over Wipro.

    Anyone know which one of Lloyds or TSB that Wipro are working at?
