Sue Ellen does not have any business interests with I-PAYE...... I would have thought this was obvious, but hey.... sorry Sue Ellen

Anyway, I would like to refute the "deceptive nonsense" comment".

In terms of business interests, I have no financial interest in I-PAYE, other than I-PAYE is my employer, and pays me a salary. I am not on commission. We do not employ sales people. Whilst it is my job to grow the business, this is done with a long term view, not a stack 'em high and get rich quick model.

Any advice or guidance given on here is Best Advice, and takes the strictest, most cautious approach to legislation. I do normally point out in my responses that it is generic information and specific advice based on personal circumstances is always recommended.

However, we know we are on the correct side of the legislation. This is not just anecdotal. We are regularly audited by some foreign tax offices as well as HMRC, and additionally have had extensive audits carried out by big 4 accountants on behalf of their clients.

Based on our own in house expertise, coupled with the information obtained during these audits, We will never offer anything other than PAYE on international assignments. I expect we could make a lot more money in the short term if we did offer more lucrative alternates, but we wont.

No-one has to follow our advice, but always pick your advisers carefully, and listen to the ones who would rather walk away from your business than support you in something potentially risky. There will be a reason for that.

Yes, if you read the appropriate tax law which has been posted here many times (specifically in Nodric's famous and extensive Belgium thead) then you will know what is correct and therefore who to believe. You will also know who is the "certifiable cretin" but I am not dropping any hints here, unlike yourself who has many infractions recorded against you for similar insults.

This adds little to the discussion ?

Boo unlike you the rest of us knows the various meanings of "residence". Unfortunately when dealing with tax officials claiming it means just your home doesn't work.
