However, if you want to hold out for all of this and they are not in agreement with your request, you need to assess whether you'd refuse the extension and walk.

What other options do you have?
Check if your client has agreed fixed margins with the agency. If not ask for a rate uplift because agency D has had shed loads of money handed to them on a plate for no effort so shouldn't expect the same margins as the old one.

Similar scenario to when a Tier 1 PSL approved agency can't fulfil a gig so they sub the work out to another agency.

so long as you are happy with the terms, how could there be a problem?
Happened to me once, and I only had 1 month left on contract.
Just be glad they came to a deal, you could have been terminated.

client A asks ltd company C to renew with agency D
