    Read your contract and understand it. There will be a handcuff clause in there that isn't difficult to understand.

    Google handcuff clause.
    Use the search method as described in the Faq section of this forum that describes how to search these forums and look for handcuff clause.

    Hi I work on temp contract with an outsourcer and contract coming to end soon
    I have applied for a role with the client no now the outsourcer is saying that the client may incur penalties if they try to hire me
    Any advice ?
