The good standing wording states that a company has been in continuous, unbroken existence since its incorporation and that no action is currently being taken to strike the company off the register.

How about...
Speak to the client and ask them exactly what this means and what format they want. They will probably tell you exactly how to get it.
If that's not clear then speak to Companies House and ask them what you would need in this position.
The power of actually speaking to people can be staggering......

Certificate of good standing from Companies House
I have the opportunity to contract direct to a client, which seems to be good news.
I am being asked to provide a few things, most of which I can easily do, however, they are requesting a certificate of good standing from Companies House. Something that shows that I am a decent fine upstanding chap and have not been struck off.
I have had a look on the Companies House website and quite frankly it is not very good. From what I can tell, I need to sign up for a monthly £4 subscription fee. I also need to pay £15 for the Certificate, which is fair enough.
