That's probably the very least of it, he will most likely be offering "extras" too. My advice to LM is to not carry too much cash when going home and to not let temptation get in his way
Enough about the enemy, back to talking about NLUK please
Now cmon LM don't be harsh to NLUK, his plan B of doing a little bit of unlicensed mini cabbing on the side must be pretty lucrative

The taxi rank at Manchester Piccadilly is terrible. I usually end up getting the Metrolink and asking the enemy to pick me up from the station instead.
Black cab I'm looking at 12 to 15 quid, Uber X is 7 to 10 notes, all adds up. Also I like the convenience of the app. As my trains pulling it I order one and It's usually there as I'm leaving the station.

Taxi from Manchester Piccadilly to my house is about £13-14 by private hire, £16-18 by black cab.

I've done something similar for a gig years ago. It was based up in Perthshire. After trying different modes of transport to get there, I found the easiest was to cut a deal with a chauffeur company. Used to fly into Edinburgh Airport and have someone waiting for me (I did try driving it, but it used to kill me 300 miles on a Monday Morning).
I suppose the benefit of this over a Taxi, was we had a form of contract and they'd invoice me monthly. Also, if my flight was delayed they would arrange for a driver to still be waiting for me and there was a greater deal of flexibility.
My suggestion would be to call round a few and ask. It was 42 miles from Airport to client site, worked out a lot cheaper than a taxi twice a week.
Oh and the flam was a Merc S-Class, bit better than a hackney carriage or similar.
Ill bet the permies had one or two things to say about you being chauffeured to the office on your first day.
I use Uber, app is a doddle to work and half the price of the Black Cabs at the station (twice I have got a Black Cab from the station home and had to direct the cabbie both times on how to get me home), Uber every time for me now.
Not as bad up north.
