I got a call about a PS role. For a laugh I asked them what they thought would happen come April. "We think this will just affect local Gov initially as the rest of Gov can't afford to lose everyone, so we don't see it being a big deal". Yeah....sign me up.....

Currently they are the only PS dept who we knew were forcibly putting everyone inside IR35, ahead of the new rules.

We will have a vote on it though so it will be done fairly.

Then again, there's always the friendly indian outsourcers who can fill any role at £200 p/day..

I'm more interested to hear from PS agents as to what percentage say, "uh huh, okay" without knowing what the full implications are, compared to those that say, "ah, in that case, my day rate is £(outside IR35 rate + 40%)

*edit
"Any changes to legislation will be subject to a short technical consultation and the legislation would apply from April 2017" - so it means nothing at the moment, still can't see why an agency would be insisting on it now
