    7 years is generally the maximum time data is kept to comply with the data protection act.

    I don't think the agency should be getting any kudos for obeying the law.

    I got mine taken off their list easier than that - when they lied and didn't pay me, my lawyers spent a year arguing with them to get them to pay up. They haven't contacted me since they paid.

    I had emails from progressive and realstaffing at the same time back in April, Subject: "Is it time to say goodbye?", "If we don’t hear from you, we’ll no longer be able to send you emails, ..."

    Realstaffing were true to their word, until yesterday.

    To be fair to progressive no peep from them, yet, in all of 6 weeks.
