    Nope. I don't do working from home generally. I'd rather be in the office and I can get more done being around the delivery teams and my customer.

    Yes, it was made clear. The annoying part comes with the assumption that it means no-one can.

    And of course the OP was wrong to assume, as would I have been.

    I can see why it has annoyed the OP, even though it is his mistake (the assumption).

    I have the opposite problem, I want to work in the office more but no one else would be there, and I am not allowed to hot desk in my office of choice. So here I am working from home 4-5 days a week, it's terrible.

    I am actually getting stir crazy as I have not had a nice relaxing night in a hotel so far this year!

    Correct. Always considered it a reward for delivery/building trust if it hasn't been discussed in advance.
