Yes, interviews are very much a "fire and forget" situation. You do the interview and then you move on to the next role of interest until you have an offer and a signed contract.

6 MONTHS later client phoned agent and wants to interview two of the candidates and can they start monday. Turned out none of the original batch were available any more (surprise surprise!) and client was well put out!

It's actually interesting hearing the other side of the recruitment process but it doesn't help in IT recruitment the majority of UK agencies are just sales people who have absolutely no understanding of contracts, technology etc.
As others have said told take the agent's treatment of you personally.

From my first convo with the agent, he insisted they were sole agents for that gig...

Also people get hung up about feedback from agents, both believing what they say which I dispelled a few posts ago and also get angry the agent doesn't give them feedback. If the agent wants you they will be all over you, if they don't then no amount of feedback will change anything.
Interview and move on. If a gig pops up happy days. If not you are already on to the next ones.
GL.

As a supplier you are at the mercy of the client and have very little leverage, even dropping rates to look more attractive doesn't work.- Hope that my own interview went well and they're convinced I'm the guy

How do I take a 'thanks' off a post?
