Sorry to disappoint you, but we sold ITJB in 2013.

Dice Holdings buys The IT Job Board from SThree | Business intelligence for recruitment and resourcing professionals

You will probably find a lot of our brands posting there as we are still a customer and get a good return from their site.

I will probably add the contract end date to my profile, thanks for the suggestion.

I don't believe I need to be constantly telling people I'm looking out for a new contract. I'm not looking for something new every day. It's just an ad hoc basis when I get the feeling I might be the next one out and on Linkedin I find searching for contract only positions hard to do. It doesn't specify if the positions your searching on are permanent or contract, just the industry, location, job type etc.

If the client might let you go at any stage (and every client could do that), and you don't want to be caught out, don't you need to be constantly looking and telling people that you are available?

Why don't you just say something like "in contract until *date* "
This way you don't explicitly say you are looking for new contracts and maybe current client notice that and say "we'd better offer him a renewal before he finds something else"

That's why I always wait with adding contacts form my client towards the end of my contract or when it has finished.

If you're planning to leave in the middle of your contract that may be a problem, but if it is in the last few weeks it's perfectly ok to say "soon available for new contracts" in your status updates

Most of my roles seem to come from LinkedIn these days, I've not bother with a recruitment site in a few years.

That explains why I never had anything useful at all from The IT Jobboard. Didn't bother to look at it when I was searching for my last few contracts
