I'm trying to get more details - whether it's more on the programming expertise side, or on the statistical side, whether it requires HANA knowledge etc. I don't even know what they're doing yet...
I won't make any money out of the deal, but it raises my profile as a helpful chap within my client. It also makes life easier for them, as they don't have to set up anything with a new supplier. It can all go through my over-arching contract.

You could try the Special Interest Group for R jobs:
https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-sig-jobs
It would probably help to have some details on the application area though (e.g. statistical expertise required) as many R developers will have a statistical background and just use it as a means to an end.

Looking for an R programmer (SAP HANA) - Switzerland/Germany,poss remote.
On one of my projects, there's a requirement for an R programmer. It may be in Basel, Switzerland, or Mannheim, Germany. No German language skills needed. There's a good chance that after an initial visit it will be possible to work remotely.
The only other information I have is the email I received from the project manager, which says "we have a little project and would need immediately a R developer to support us at least for tricky problems and some guidance. Can you provide such a service to us?"
It seems likely then that this could be done concurrently with another contract.
If you're interested, send me a PM. If you know someone who'd be interested, I'm sure that a finder's fee would be in order.
This is not through any agency;it would be directly through my company.Tags: None
