Seems quite true. Brexiters remind me of the Just William books, a tinted misty eyed view of a land that really never existed except in someone's imagination. They remind me in particular of Violet Elizabeth Bott - "I'll thcream and thcream and thcream 'till I'm thick" if she did not get her way.

The 'change' you've voted for is to go back to the good old days; closed borders, closed minds, protection of british culture (whatever that means), the days of the empire. This isn't change, this is a retrospective step because you are afraid of the future.
