D'you know what, I didn't. I did read your panic-laden sleeve notes, and responded to them. I did find myself wondering how diabetics who happen to live outside the EU are still alive, but at that point I realised you've managed to turn something that might possibly worst-case-scenario happen into something that's definitely going to happen.

PS - I love it when you call me a thicko, it gives me a lovely warm glow of deep satisfaction, because we both know that was your best (and only) shot.
PS2 - I'm for the Brexit which means we leave the EU. I don't think any sort of a halfway-house Brexit is an option now anyway, because the EU would look like mugs if they agreed to it. It's "hard Brexit" or remain, and we've gone too far to even think about the remain option, so "hard" it is.

And maybe have a system whereby certain medical imports are fast-tracked, and the paperwork is done later. You can be a bit of a drama queen sometimes...

This is being hotly discussed at work today - unusually because usually nobody gives a tulip about Brexit on the mainland. But it's obviously pharma-sector related hence the interest.

Basically all the human insulin, used by 97% of those affected, comes from the EU.

This could affect the PM herself, although I'm pretty sure she'll have the resources to fly in a stash personally as needed

The consensus is yes, if there are any delays at customs post Brexit, there will definitely be an effect, special measures will have to be put into place*- it will take time and money to set up a (human) insulin manufacturing plant in the UK.

*Given the fact that this govt is so incompetent, I thank my lucky stars I have no medcial conditions at all (and also obviously that I'm not in the UK, I keep forgetting that :-) ) - I wouldn't want to rely on this useless shower.

I did not say the UK should make everything it needs. Indeed, natural resources can be incredibly hard to make. e.g. Nazi Germany managed to make oil out of coal - it was incredibly expensive.
