    We are not allowed to negotiate trade deals until after we have left. Because of our feckless Prime Minister, the picture of what the UK's relationship with the EU and the Rest of the World is not yet clear. I don't see them wanting to put too much effort into a UK trade deal if they think there is a reasonable chance that Brexit wont even happen.

    The UK operates a trade deficit, we buy more stuff than we sell. The Rest of the World will be more than happy for a share of that particular pie.
