Do you know, I might well move all the other one post Charlie's into this thread.

Quite. Any scheme like this will work until HMRC decide it doesn't. That may nor may not be a good position, but it is the reality of tax law in 2014.

That ** could ** be legitimate due to a restructure or buy out. You'ld need to know more of the history and backstory - my business, for example, has only been incorporated for a couple of years, but it bought out a division of a larger practice which I owned for 25 years before that, pre sale of the bigger part.

Not entirely convinced that Mr Venables confirms compliance... And I think he has said himself that people keep taking his quotes out of context.

As for their use of 'Whois Privacy Protection Service' - this could be naivety on their part, although it may indicate that they are registering, and managing, their domain in bad faith.

Anyway, read the HMRC scheme enquiries thread and decide if you really want the stress. If you are on this site and, therefore, have access to the reality of these schemes, then you would be totally bonkers - in fact fvck1ng stupid, to use them.

If you really, really, really want to press ahead, then use an established firm who explain the risks rather than firms who can't even be bothered to get their company information correct, hide behind mailing address and don't allow their domain information to be accessed.
They may have scurried to register themselves but they still don't have a VAT number...

I do. More appropriately, remember Compusource.

It does now - it didn't when this thread was created. The LinkedIn profile has also changed to show that they are no longer American, they are based in London.

Best Umbrella Solutions was only incorporated in November 2013 so haven't yet filed any accounts. Personally, I'd find someone with a decent track record, unless they had some kind of amazing incentive for me to risk working for them.

There is no contact information apart from the UK-based phone number - no address, no company name, nothing.

If they aren't prepared to put on their website the details of exactly who they are and where they are based, why would you trust them with your money?

    Read this post:

(Umbrella) companies - check them out BEFORE things go wrong!

You need to be able to trust a company. If there are no matches to the searches below, the company is breaking the law. Do you want to do business with such a company?

    registered office site:inoh.org

    VAT site:inoh.org

So decide yourself, because I’m afraid that we aren’t going to tell you.
