Used em and got a mortgage. Found them good to deal with. I think they may have had some staffing issues though as a request for another service wen unanswered and the little extras they promised didn't happen. I'd look at them again in the future though.

I started the process of going through these guys a few months back for a rental property that I was looking to get involved in. For one reason or another the sale fell through so I didn't proceed with the application but from first impressions i found them to be really professional and were quick to get back to me with any queries. Would look at using again in future

Yes, but just go straight to Halifax (where they will prob get you a mortgage) or go to HSBC who are very contractor friendly too. And save £600.Originally posted by heyya99 View PostI'm thinking of buying a flat to live in. My accountant put me in contact with Contractor Mortgages Made Easy. They have requested my company accounts, my CV and my current contract to do some initial investigation of my ability to buy. They charge about £600 if I eventually secure funding and bid on a flat.
Have any of you dealt with them? Good idea or avoid?

Using them at the moment, gave a decent quote but so far being very difficult it to deal with now they have my fee, just the basics like returning calls is dire. Can't recommend them so far.... :-(

Just remortgaged with Power Mortgages. Fixed for 2 years at 3.09%. No other contractor mortgage broker could get me a mortgage. Discounted fee for CUK too.

I got a mortgage through them last year. Very straight forward, professional and hassle free. And also approved without hiccups.
The catch is the rates or products you will eventually get offered will not be what I call "competitive” or be "market leading". Also their fees are high but you don't pay until you got the mortgage through.
I bit the bullet cos I had no other choice but the rates on the market were around 1%cheaper

I used freelancer financials for my last mortgage. They were a great help when the people selling the house we bought started pushing for an accelerated completion.
£500 fee though but certainly put together a good package for me, porting my then current deal on the house I was selling and then supplementing it with a new product.

And a ton of others here...

If you can get a normal mortgage then do that. Much better rates than the ones the contractor specialists are using.
If you are wondering the differences or what problems you may encounter then do a search for the term mortgages. It's been done many many times.

Are they the £699 up front broker?
If so there are other cheaper options.
