    Good point.

    On the flip side, what if someone were to (one day) mis-spell their bank's URL like www.sntander.co.uk - which could be a copy cat of the real website just harvesting login details.

    To log in you should always type Bank of Scotland - Online personal banking - Banking services into your address bar and click on the log in button in the Internet Banking section. Do not save the website to your bookmarks or favourites or follow links from search engines as these are easy for fraudsters to fake.

    Isn't this just because you are advertising which bank you are with? Stealing your personal info and then telling them which bank you are with (via your faves) gives thems something to work with?

    Updated Santander login and it says "Avoid setting santander.co.uk as a favourite in your browser". Anyone know if that is a risk on a private PC? Cheers.
