Nixon Williams, then at least you get a trip to the seaside when you pop over to blackpool for a visit (tax deductable business trip)

I use SJD and have never had need to ever meet them. I would stick my name out and say the same would go for all the other contractor specialist firms. The processes they have are so clear there are very few questions to ask and when I have they have been answered prompty by mail.

My first account was a local guy so I could meet him but he wasn't clued up on my situation and was utterly useless. Meeting face to face != good service.

Our Central office covers Milton Keynes and they would be happy to meet you there.

    Good Accountant

You can expect to pay anywhere from say £60 to £105 + VAT a month.

But make sure you know what services are part of the package first as some accountants charge extra for Payroll,Self Assessment or even for you to use their address as the registered office!

As NLUK has said, most people use one of those three, I use Nixon Williams, although they are not in Milton Keynes, very happy with them and they are not local to me.
