    Hi Pickle,

I graduated with an MBA last week and had a chat at the ceremony with a guy who lives in the US and we were talking about just this. Apparently the IRS will consider it a legit business expense only if the MBA is from an accredited Business School...so if you go down the American Company route suggested, you may need to consider that when choosing where to study. Some of the ones that you think would be accredited aren't, so make sure you specifically ask that question when you contact any Business School.

    Good Luck

    Ah, I see your point.

A combination of my confidence in my own ability, the rigourous (or so I hear) tests, and competition to get into top flight schools would indicate that I would be likely to graduate.

As there are 5 applicants to every place available, I would say that the price of the course is not a determining factor.

I've only started looking into this two weeks ago, so this is just my opinion.

Am I a good enough candidate for an MBA course? Well that's a different question; the school I apply to will tell me whether I'm good enough for the course.

Doesn't this all depend on what your long term aim is? If you are trying to break into the expensive day rate consultancy market then a MBA would definately be a bonus for your company and on that grounds I would say that it fits the bill for company funding. Do accenture claim the training their 'consultants' get?
