Hi,
Thank you for the response. I started thinking along those lines this morning so I will get on the phone later.

structure
I'd strongly recommend you speak to your accountant on this one as the structure going forward could be crucial from a protection as well as tax perspective. There could be a case for a group structure or simple related company loans depending on purpose and trade of the companies but it's quite specific to your circumstances.

Hi,
Yes I have a very good idea of what my current startup will be doing. I was hoping to provoke a few thoughts i.e. loaning money from one business to another.

I am attempting to generate some (tonnes) of cash with a startup. I am at the stage of registering the company which is the easy bit. What are the ins and outs of financing my startup with money from my contractor limited company? Is it even possible? Is there something clever I can do?
In many years time I envisage owning several matured startups as part of a group of companies (it sounds good). How do I setup a group of companies?
Schoolboy questions, maybe.
If anyone knows how to make millions of £ then post that too.
Thanks.
Do you have an idea what these startups will be doing or are you just trying to generate cash for now?

So, you are providing a loan from one of your companies to another.
Is that the case?
