If your income is employment income there is no UK tax to pay at all, i.e. if you were on a Dutch payroll as a temp. This is exempt from UK tax.
However you will need an accountant to make sure your income is declared accurately and submit the appropriate documentation from your Dutch employer.

Not If you fill out your tax form correctly or better still pay an accountant toOriginally posted by dulac2009 View PostThanks to tell me if you are aware of any double taxation agreement betwenn the Netherlands and the UK to avoid to be taxed twice?

complete your return.
I am not a UK resident but I believe the calculation is as follows
UK Income 50000
Dutch Income 25000 after 30%
75000
Tax payable UK
Less Tax paid in Netherlands
Tax to be paid.
If the tax is lower in the Netherlands you pay the difference
If the tax is higher in the Netherlands then you will pay nothing but
you will not get back the difference.
Was your 30 % greater than your actual expenses?

Double taxation UK - Netherlands
Hi,
In 2008 I contracted in the Netherlands from July 2008 to September 2008.
Though I was working full-time in the Netherlands Monday to Friday, I was going back to the UK every week-end and therefore I was still a UK tax resident.
However, once in the Netherlands I was told by my Dutch accountant that I had to pay my income tax in the Netherlands (under the 30% tax rule scheme), which I did.
My problem:
I am about to fill out my UK tax return for tax year 2008-2009 and will need to declare to the UK tax man the income I had in the Netherlands in 2008. I fear they might ask me to pay UK income tax on my Netherlands income on top of the taxes I have already paid to the Netherlands tax man.
Thanks to tell me if you are aware of any double taxation agreement betwenn the Netherlands and the UK to avoid to be taxed twice?
Thanks for your help.
