As for me not paying "any attention to how IR35 works or how you defend your position as being outside", well give me chance! I only formed my company two weeks ago and have yet to put any work through it. I'm still learning you know!

And if you had been reading my posts over the last three or four years, the one thing I say all newbies should do is learn as much as they can before they start, before you spend a lot of money you don't need to.

However I will agree that using a PCG QA guy is a seriously good idea if you don't know the game. I hope you are similarly encouraged to join the PCG at the same time... (yeah, I know...)

I agree with Darren, unless your accountant has received specialist IR35, S660 training you are really are better off with a PCG quality accountant.

I think that's probably true. I will talk to my local PCGQAs (all two of them, being generous with the word "local") and maybe ring through the Yellow Pages and just ask everyone if they have IR35 training and experience with contract work.
