and lets face it works out about a couple of hundred quid over a year - you work and extra day and a half and you have the same money and 6 years peace of mind.
Given that there are a total of about 100 people who post regularly on this forum and are likely to have answered the question, that makes it at least a 6% chance of being investigated - completely unscientific of course. Yes it's quite low, but not low enough to risk a reaming by HMRC in my opinion...
