Go to reception. Say "Hi I used to work here. I worked for Mr/Mrs X. I stupidly didn't take all my stuff with me on my last day. Any way I can retrieve them?".

So the contract is over, but there are a bunch of items left back the the clients' office which are my personal belongings.
