I am now moving to Australia since I have got permanent resident and my client wants me to continue working for them through a UK agency. Agency says that they can only pay me in GBP but not in AUD. I am still fine with it as I can get an bank account in Australia which can accept multi currency. Since I am working from Australia I will be paying taxes there but was confused whether I need pay taxes in UK or not?

Could someone please help me on this.

    Thanks

If you are non UK resident, how are you able to work in UK ?

Is this a new kind of scam by the Indian outsourcers ?

One thing you may want to look into is the Australian equivalent to IR35.
I believe, to be "safe", you have to have at least 2 different clients within one tax year.

And, of course, a business account in Oz that can accept GBP.

You will pay taxes where you work - i.e. Australia. You do not charge VAT.
