I had the same thought first time I had to enter it... Probably part of some work creation scheme somewhere, I can't believe my scrawl is machine readable!

Cheers thought it was that but it seemed a long number to add after the HM & Reve bit, requires small letters

The UTR is a ten digit number it should be one most things they send you usually under ref.

Tax Reference Number Where is it
writing a cheque for Revenue and Customs it says that I need to make it payable to HM Revenue & Customs then right my tax reference after it, where will I find my tax ref is it on the yellow payment slip Ive got for them ?Tags: None
