    The saddest thing about Brexit

    Morning All,

I was in Munich this week, German colleagues are great as is their region, cuisine, quality of life, outlook etc.

It snowed earlier in the week and we could see the snow capped mountains from the offices.

They have a fantastic subsidized canteen at their offices and the food is restaurant quality, that coupled
with the English breakfasts at the hotel, I must have gained two kilos during the trip !

The saddest part of the trip was, my German colleagues were laughing about Brexit, they find it very funny
how Britain has lost it's head in the last 24months and how the Brexit story goes from bad to worse.

It's very sad for me, because for generations we Brits have enjoyed having a friendly good laugh at the
expense of our Saxon friends, especially during the last 80 years.

And now after all of those years of us laughing at them, our Saxon colleagues are now relishing the
situation and having a good laugh at us.

And unfortunately the situation is indefensible.

Regarding the Brexit, they find it funny, but they don't actually care about, they more find it funny
how on the international scene Britain has damaged itself, and how divided and wounded Britain is.

They actually say, if you want to leave, then get on with it and leave.

They are also acutely aware of the discounts which Margaret Thatcher negotiated and are insistent that
if Britain wants to come back in they won't be getting their previous discounts and special treatment.

    Very sad.

    Milan.

Hmm. Interesting. Britain being the laughing stock on the international scene, the divided society, the lack of any real leadership, are, according to at least one brexiter then, not things to find sad.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

You partial to a bratwurst then Beansey?

Btw, you must have gained a third of a stone, we don't do kilos in Brexit Britain. And they won't be allowed to serve English Breakfasts, so enjoy while you can.
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

All the right people are thoroughly upset by this deal, which is excellent news.

              ROTFLMFAO

they call it a bauer fruhstuck (or something like that one of the expats can correct me) and I can tell you it was a meisterstuck, several varieties of their sausages, piles of fantastic bacon, scrambled eggs, fresh bread

I took a break from the belt busting calorie overdose mid week and had a plateful of smoked salmon for breakfast

What's new in Brexit Britain Mordy ?

By the way, this is the Brexit Forum you know, are you allowed to post here ?

This Forum is exclusively for us Remainers to laugh about the pitiful situation of Brexit and shout I told you so

As long as it keeps the remainers from the honest citizens of general, it can be for any reason.
