sure i have raised it already. They weirdly kind of agreed (or are resigned to) the idea that the agencies are in control of whatever they deem an approved umbrella list, and if they aren't on it, they aren't on it. However, they did indicate that even if this were the case, i could still push back...

i seriously doubt my current umbrella is non-compliant; they're basically the one everyone thinks of first when you say the words 'umbrella company'.
If HMRC are chasing the shady umbrella firms that are using loan schemes to minimise tax liability then fine, but my one is 100% not on that...
