For the past eight years, Janey has been an active member of the Weaverville Lioness Club; five of those years were spent as club treasurer and three as bulletin editor. Editing her club's bulletin won them the blue ribbon for the Northern California district. She also is an active church member.

Her other interests include reading plenty, Bible study, writing, walking, jogging, bicycling, listening to bluegrass music, rubber stamping, designing her own greeting cards and penpalling. She collects scenic postcards and likes anything with a heart motif, and is presently putting together some family photo albums. She also is trying to master a lot of new computer software, as well as the Internet. She claims she never has been bored a day in her life!

She has been a good mother to our two grown sons, Steven and Harris Wayne, but wishes they lived closer to us. Neither son has yet married. Janey helps to keep me in line, and gives me a new perspective on things when I most need it. She is my soul mate.
