    Home made Horseradish sauce.

    Yum!

Found a big patch of horseradish growing on the edge of the local playing fields. Nipped out an grabbed some this morning to made fresh horse radish sauce for sunday lunch. So much better than the shop bought stuff.

Get some and plant it in your garden - then you're have a easy supply.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Make sure you plant in in a large pot, it spreads like wildfire. It will just take over the garden otherwise.

I love home made horseradish sauce, difficult to get the fresh stuff though.

And a little goes a long way. Fresh it's a *lot* hotter than the ready made. My son reckons he can handle hot stuff and insisted on eating a spoonful of it in one go. He had tears streaming down his face

            mmmm horseradish!
The closest I got today was 2 sachets of Heinz English Mustard on my pub chips. I don't think Heinz English Mustard exists in a non-sachet version. I'm sure I've never seen it in a jar in the supermarket, and rightly so. It should be ashamed to show its face next to Coleman's.

Is it my imagination/knackered taste buds, but Coleman's English mustard seems much weaker than it used to be?
