Ah Yes. That explains all the fireworks going off round here tonight. And I thought it was just local kids being arseholes.
Oh hang about. That the wrong lot. They are all Muslims in this neck of the woods. Maybe I was right first time. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Happy Diwali!
(Do us all a favour and show the chavs when to pack it in with the fireworks by not setting them off after midnight, eh? Then maybe we'll all get a decent night's sleep around 5th November. Thanks. )
I ate so much curry and drank so much beer tonight I'm glad I don't have to climb any stairs to get to bedCoffee's for closersComment

I shall look forward to "Bob Shawadiwadi" logging on here on New Years Eve to complain about the noise.
It would be nice if some of you could show a bit more respect for different religions. Diwali is a time of celebration for a good many people in this country and I really used to enjoy it (when I was living in a more tolerant part of the country).+50 Xeno Geek Points

Hindus don't seem to cause any problems for the rest of us, unlike some. Good luck to em. PS Is there any free vodka in this Duvali thing?
Used to read loads of mythology as a boy and Indian myth and legend was brill, better than boring Greek/Roman, not quite as good as Norse though. Arjuna the bowman, born a women became a man, can't recall if it said how. And there was a hundred years war, or was it a thousand? forget now but lots of slaying.Last edited by xoggoth; 18 October 2009, 19:57.bloggoth
