A few years later, while sitting waiting for an interview as an IT Manager for a Fire Service somewhere, I saw their names on the front page of Computer Weekly.
As I went into the interview, I still looked shocked. They asked if I was alright.
"Errm, not sure. My first IT Director has been sent down for fraud. His missus (by then in a public sector procurement role) had been giving him all the contracts. He had grossly over-charged and she approved the invoices. They've been given 3 / 5 years. I really respected that bloke and modelled myself on him."
And that was the end of that interview.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
