Sounds to me like you've earned a cup a tea and a large slice of cake.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm - no cake (although I might have a Soreen somewhere).

The girls sent MrsF out with some pink smarties to keep me going while I was out there.

The hose is ridged, which meant that it caught frequently on the edge of the housing as I tried to push it through. Especially through the two corners, which was not an easy task.

No chance. The hole is already there in the wall. The hole is in the 4x2. I have a screw the right length (either 4" or 3", I haven't decided). I have a screwdriver ready.

I just haven't got the inclination to get it fixed yet - I've survived with it like that for several months now...
