        Zeit - why do those UFO Interceptors have such a large, bulky missile (and only one in their ordanants package)?

        The UFO's have some trendy rapid fire laser.

        Surely they could dodge the missile with considerable ease? We're not talking Sparrow or AIM-9L here...

          Ah, but they are nuclear missiles with a large blast radius so the theory is that even a near miss will take out one or more UFOs. This is important when the target is moving at speeds of near sol decimal eight.
