Since Kathy and CM are both here, and I'm not getting an answer in General - can either of you explain what threaded is on about?

He's talking about all girls schools banning cucumbers, bananas, patent leather shoes (which I can understand!) but also "for obvious reasons" banning fizzy drinks and duffel coats.

What am I missing out on, and do I need to go and buy a can of pop and a coat on the way home tomorrow?

Not a can of pop....a bottle with a narrow neck...no idea about the duffel coat though
