Well, I don't have kids so I am not sure that my advise is worth a toss but..... yeah, I don't think you are doing anything wrong - little Monkey is 11.... not 16, where he or she might have a tennage fit over it... so I think for your own peace of mind - do it!

Depends a little on circumstances but my general view is no.

Kids need to have there little bit of being independant and learning from that. You need to teach them what's right and wrong and let them apply that to circumstances - that's how they learn.

Trust is very important, they need to able to trust you so that when they are not sure about something they can ask you.

If you break and lose that trust it's gone forever.

But - mines only 2 - it's easy for me to say that.

Yeah but - kids are easily led.... and I think that you have to be sure they are safe....

Well - mortgage agreed in principle. Sent in supporting documentation for formal agreement. So far, it's taken 4 days to assess that documentation.

It's a 20 minute job FFS!!
