Last orders? That's so last century. Pubs can stay open as long as they like these days.

But it is a hard habit to break - looking nervously at your watch at ten minutes to eleven, then quickly finishing your pint and trying to get another one in before the deadline.

Although, there were always places that were more flexible with their closing times if you knew where to go.
