      the beauty of scanning means that discrepancies between reading a serial number and location, writing a serial number and location, typing a serial number and location and matching that serial number and location are greatly reduced.

        but there is another thing about technology that can bite you on the bum and that's that prior to audt make sure you have enough of them to go round and that they (and the spare batteries) are charged up.

          same goes for fork lifts. it can be bit of a pisser if all your counters are ready on the saturday morning only to find that nobody energised the fork lifts and the fork lift spare batteris.

            happened to me once and we had to knock on the warehouse next door and ask to borrow their 'til ours was charged up.
