I got the BBC B+ to read a disk(ette).
Oddly, it prefers to read "Drive 1" rather than "Drive 0" though this may be down to the way I plugged the cable into the drives.
It had fallen off.Comment

You say "*CAT".
It really doesn't help that the "*" is where the "@" is on a pc keyboard.
And "(" is where "*" should be. (Shift 8).
I'd forgotten what a nighmare non PC keyboards are.
The one on my Tatung Einstein is just as weird.
Makes touch typing a chore.Comment

Been going for an hour and a half now.

Prrrrr. It stinks in here.
I wonder what Professor Zeity is up to these days?
I've heard rumours that he's been splicing the brains of General posters with those of Technical posters. Some of his latest experiments have had success. Recently a Unix programmer with a 1st degree in Computer Science was spliced with a General Poster who liked 1980's soft teddy bears. The resulting poster was almost able to utter the words 'Share bear'.
It needs work.
I'll come back when Norrahe's cleaned out laundry basket. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment
