After the Cadstar exercise, (which is easy if you can read & follow instructions) they expect the PIC programming to be much the same.

Which, oddly enough, it isn't.



Most of the submissions are very pedestrian indeed.

I now understand why the good students are memorable.

I've just fabricated a thingie for the pulse detector.

It's a piece of wood with 3 holes in it.

One big one to stick your (little) finger in, and two small holes for the IR led and the photo transistor.

Works too.

I'm inordinately proud of this.

I don't know but I usually wait until the fourth pint. That usually does the trick.

Great, now I'm not nearly as busy as I was a few hours ago, although I still need to design a mofo great big treasury/cashman system and present it to senior mangmt inside a week.

Marvellous.

I preferred it when I was web manager. At least I had a hell of a lot less responsibility.
