I finish a week on Tuesday

They use a Scrum process, and that's the last development day on the current sprint.

Seems slightly odd that they don't want me there for the retrospective - surely I can still provide insights into what could have been done better even if I'm not going to be there to do it?

And, of course, it means I don't get to see my work demoed for the business folk, which is a shame, as I'll have finally finished something which is one of the coolest things going, and the business folk will wet themselves over the sheer wondrousness of it

    Ah well

The week after that I'm going to the big webdev conference of the year, so I'll be able to catch up with a lot of contacts and try to drum up some trade - with a bit of luck I can get myself back into Y!, or maybe pick something up from the Beeb or Google

I'm sure you won't be on the bench for too long.

Leave them knowing that you were the top Monkey and I reckon they'll call you back sometime in the future, your work will speak for itself.

          I'm still juggling!

I'm busy downloading some of those ridiculous Yank public information films from the Fifties and burning a DVD... they're highly entertaining

Get your fix at the Prelinger Archive, and you too can enjoy such delights as Beginning to Date (one for SP?), Perversion for Profit (Part 1) ("linking pornography to the Communist conspiracy and the decline of Western civilization") and, of course, that immortal classic Duck and Cover ("Bert the Turtle shows what to do in case of atomic attack")

                Dear god!

KDE has been compiling since this morning. Seriously.

I've got a Windows ME disk somewhere, if that would help

I reckon you will get something very quick - judging by your technical posts.
