À propos of all the "WTF is Web two point zero" gubbins over in General, I had a rather silly but useful idea for a contractor-related mashup this evening
It's all very silly yet it makes sense and would, for me at least, actually be useful in the benchy weeks to come... further proof that the world is a very silly place, and one should accept it on those terms
It'll be quite straightforward to get it working, so I might do it over the weekend, then post a link in General to confuse the unwashed

The thing that amazes me about these spammers is that they clearly have the most abysmal grasp of the English language:
"How are you today, I hope all is well with you and your family? I have been calling your number but is not going,that is why i send this through your email adress.
"My father is dead right now ! and there is many investments he left over for me as his only surviving male child."
...and yet they can still spell "cheque" correctly:
"But what is at issue now is his bank cheque, i find out that He accumulated a substantial amount, which with accumulated interest now totals several billion West African CFA francs (approximately US$ 8.5 million or US$9 million)."
