I'm still not sure what, if anything, he did... the bug seems to have gone away without either of us actually doing anything to fix it

I merged his stuff with mine and then commented out the only difference between them, and it still works.

        Ho hum

        Oh, sorry - Evening denizens

Not sure... I'm still confused by the unbelievably poor specs of something I have to finish off tomorrow.

However, I get the impression that the Product Owner is so desperate to be able to declare it "finished" to her Business Owner (I really don't understand many of these titles) that I can just make what I've got do something that appears useful at first glance, and everybody will be happy - given that the actual users were first consulted about their requirements at about half-past four this afternoon, it's not surprising nobody's sure what I'm supposed to make in the first place

I also had enough sense to make my code totally general purpose... it's all you can do when nobody knows what the purpose is. Whatever they turn out to actually want, I can just stick in some configuration details, or if necessary write a few lines of wrapper code, and it'll do what they want

They'll thank me when their requirements change and they can just stick a different configuration in the database and specify that future applications should use that one

How's it going at your end?

It's going well, thanks mate - just extinguishing a couple of database fires, you know
