The plot thickens... weirder yet is Fact 2: 54000, which is currently mine, and on which I was congratulated at the time, was 54001 at the time 2008-03-22 19:34:40

Somebody has been messing deeply here... if I can establish any facts in the matter I'll post them, but it looks like my 54000 was bumped up by a newbie post being approved, and that this was what was removed to bring me back down to 54000

Update as and when... just trying to remember who was newbie-posting around that time... a bit of a troll, IIRC
On the counting thread I occasionally get really really weird numbers - I have to edit a post twice in a couple of minutes. I **think** there might be an issue getting which poosts are on which page?

Hmm... is there a more efficient way of matching a user ID to a name?

Edit: Sorry - being thick - these aren't user IDs. How do you find out a user's ID?

Does it matter? Or are you trying for more Xeno geek points?

Let me re-phrase that - how do you match a CUK ID with a name? Hmm...

FG is posting his images around there... FG - have you been behaving badly (more than usual)?

And what are those numbers anyway? Why do I get a boring number like 502288? Why can't I get a pali?

                Always...

No, just curious - I like mysteries.

They would seem to be a unique number for that post itself, a CUK ID for the post. Not a user ID, as I thought before.
