When you change supplier, the utilities often lose the plot as to who is providing the supply. This causes aggravation for the letting agents / landlords who sometimes have to sort it out when a tenant leaves.

So now it is normal practice to have in lettings contracts that you are not allowed to change utility supplier.

Which, of course, given a couple of years, results in the tenant paying way over the odds for gas & leccy.

I only had socks on - needle went about 1cm in.

When they find out, just say, take me to court, I have already checked my rights with a solicitor.
They will probably back down.

They would just serve notice for breach of contract.

being me, it snapped off in the bone just below my right knee and I had to go to hospital to have the damned thing removed.

When I was ickle, one of my Big Bruvvas was put in charge of providing my tea 'cos Mum & Dad were Going Out.

My Big Bruvva had a Saturday job in a fish shop.

So I had fish on toast.

It tasted muddy and was full of tiny, soft bones. It was very unpleasant to eat.

When I went to feed my goldfish in the garden pond - they had gone.
