      I was contacted about this gig on 05/11/2007. The interview was 22/11/2007. I wrote it off in the New Year.

      The person that recruited me left about a month ago. His replacement knows nothing about me and has a different philosophy completely. He also wants me to do things that in the interview I said I do not want to do (business change, lots of travel, PMO management).

      I cannot get timesheets signed because HR have noddyed up my record in their project costing system.

      I think my boss is knocking off his boss.

      Nobody seemed to be expecting me; the permie PMs see me as a threat because they did not know I was coming.

      They had no projects for me to do when I arrived; I have had to scratch about to find work to do. Today I got the OK to start a new project. Phew!

      But the money's alright!

                      On Wednesday I wanted to pack it all in.

                      This morning I was telling a programme manager and a director how a particular project ought to be run - and got given the project.

                      So it has picked up in a week.
